1. What should be given priority(优先) in education? knowledge, skills or creativity? why ? How can schools and colleges encourage creativity in students?

X: Hello，guys. I’m so sorry I am late. Yesterday ,I read an article

about knowledge, skills and creativity in education. What do you think should be given priority in education?

Y: As far as I am concerned, knowledge is the most important thing

in education.

X:Uh [ n],Why?

Y: Without enough knowledge, one is not able to understand how to

practise, that is to say, skills could not be formed. Secondly, creativity is also based on appropriate(适当的) mastery(精通，熟练；统治，控制；优势) of knowledge, if knowledge is limitted, how could Einstein find the Relativity theory(学说；理论；原理；推测). In a word, it seems to me that knowledge is the primary thing in education.

H: However, we should not be limitted to knowledge itself, as

knowledge is expanding just like our mind, and creativity plays an important role in the development of knowledge, so the cultivation(教养；栽培；耕作；（关系的）培植) of creativity in education is significant(重要的；有意义的；有重大意义的；值得注意的).
