AbstractByusingthegreyrelationalmodel,14indexesofecologicalagriculturaldevelopmentinSichuanProvincefrom1997to2008areana-lyzed.Accordingtotherelationaldegreeresults,theecologicalagriculturaldevelopmentin12yearscanbedividedintothreestages:thefirststageisfrom1997to2000,withtheshapeofinvertedU;thesecondstageisfrom2001to2004,belongingtotransitionstagewithslowgrowthrate;thethirdstageisfrom2005to2008,belongingtothestageofrapidgrowth.Itdrawsconclusionthatpercapitagrainyieldisanimportantelementfore-improvinglaborproductivityandin-valuatingecologicalagriculturalconstruction.Besides,reducingtheenergyconsumptionofperunitproduction,

creasingagriculturalscienceandtechnologyapplicationandinputonagriculturalinfrastructureconstructionaretheenginefordevelopingSichuanecologicalagriculture.

modernagricultureandthecollectionofsustainableagriculture,

AsabigprovinceinwesternChina,thepopulationinSi-chuanProvinceaccountsfor27.9%oftotalpopulationamongtenprovincesinwesternChinaandtheGDPofSichuanProv-incetakes28.9%[2]oftotalGDPinwesternChina.Sichuanisagranaryprovince,aswellasanimportantbaseforChinesegraincrops,cashcropsandlivepigs.Itisthebiggestvegeta-ble"basket"inwesternChina[3].WithinSichuanProvince,theforest,waterresourcesandriverrunofflisttopinwesternChinaandeveninthewholenation,soitisalsoanimportantecologi-calshelterinthemiddleandupperstreamoftheYangtzeRiv-er.DevelopingecologicalagricultureinSichuanProvincehas

SichuanProvinceowns20years'experiencesinlaunchingecologicalagriculturalpilots,atpresent;ithashadtwonationallevelecologicalvillages,150provincialecologicalvillagesand450cityandcountylevelecologicalvillages.Hence,deepanal-ysisonSichuanecologicalagricultureisofgreatsignificanceinecologicalagricultureconstructioninwestChina.

1.1.1Greyrelationaldegreemodel.Thegreyrelationalanal-ysiscamefromthegreysystemtheoryputforwardbyProfes-sorDengju-long.Itsbasicthoughtistoweightrelationaldegree

accordingtothedevelopingtrendofeachelementandthesimi-larityanddisparitydegreeoftheelements[4].Iftwoserieshavesimilarcurve,closedistance,thentherelationaldegreeofthetwoisbig;orelse,therelationaldegreeissmall.Greyrelation-aldegreemodelhaslowerdemandonthenumberanddistribu-tionofthesamplesthanregressionanalysisanditisoftenusedtoquantitativecomparisonanalysisofdevelopmentandchan-gingsystem,soitissuitableforstudyingthedevelopingandchangingtrendofSichuanecologicalagriculture.Thespecificanalysismethodisasfollows:
