Thesis one: Electric power steering hareware-in-the-loop test bench design Period: FEB 2007-JUN 2007

Description of Research: Based on the Jetta steering system, I choose the magnetic partical brake system to simulate the load resistance and reactive torque from ground and design the mechanical connection-pinion and rack between the electrical steering system and magnetic partical brake system. Then I build the mathematical models for the electric steering motor , steering wheel, pinion and rack Etc. and use MATLAB/Simulink to simulate the process of the test bench. At last, I make the mechanical model in the CATIA Assembly Design.
