To create a positive idolater environment

In the past months, for several times news spread that some film stars were arrested for taking drags. I was shocked when hearing the scandal. Voices of different opinions flowed into social media. Among the those voices, most people hold the view that as public figures their misconduct brought negative influence on the society especially the youngsters.

Living in a luxury world where idols become a fashion, some people would easily choose some public figures as their models, film star takes up a big percent. It is common for some youngsters to imitate their idols. When idols read a book, they would buy a same one; when idols wear a certain brand, they would catch up; when idols do sports, they will also have a try. But one day, their models begin to take drugs, will they still have a try? No one can tell the answer exactly.

It is high time we took measures to stop the bad phenomenon. There are many we can do. For the public figure, it is necessary to set common rules which they must follow regardless of who he or she is. It is not a bad way to introduce an evaluation system to judge the moral impact of a role model. If he or she has misconduct, give a warning. The models themselves should also mind their personal figure in public in case of misleading their fun. While for the ordinary people, everyone should master the ability to tell right from wrong. Following the public is stupid. Cultivating the youngsters’ positive values in idolating is an urgent task before us. When our children can admire their idols in a rational way and can get inspired by their positive energy, there is no worry about the misleading. To make it, it requires efforts from parents, schools and the whole society.
