My topic today is low-carbon life.

At the beginning of my speech,I have a simple question, have ever see the film’2012’? in this film,we can see that the icebergs are meilting, the sea level is rising, animals and people are facing with death. Maybe you will say this is just a film,but I have to say, this is real discribe of our earth.. In recent years, disasters such as the frequent typhoons and floods,the rapid melting glacier (冰山)and the fast extinction of species<物种灭绝> have frightened people. Such phenomena should be attributed to global warming, which is caused by the increase of carbon dioxide.

Low-carbon becomes a very frequent and fashionable word which gets the greatest concern in the world (after the promulgation of United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change and Kyoto Protocol. 《联合国气候变化框架公约》和《京都议定书》)
As is known to all, too much carbon dioxide has caused the climate changes. Somewhere in the world, people are suffering from storms resulting from so much carbon dioxide given off. Moreover, the over releasing of carbon dioxide may result in less rainfall, the global warming and so on. with the development of the world industrial economy, the fast increase of population, the unlimited increase of human desire and the unrestrained production and lifestyle. The human living environment, health and safety are becoming worse and worse. So, we can say, the high-consumption（高消耗） and high-pollution （高污染）economy model and lifestyle is becoming the killer of the earth and human beings. Day by day and year by year, what will our planet be like? We will have no where to live, like the film’ 2012’.
So, wake up to live a low-carbon life to protect our planet.you are not allowed to say “NO” before you try it,beause it’s very convenint. try walking or cycling instead of driving. What’s more, turn off the lights when they are not in use. Take every little thing into account that can reduce the output of carbon dioxide.what is the most importance is that we should recognize that low-carbon life is not only a kind of lifestyle but also life attitude.
A saying goes that "there’s only one mother earth’".so, let’s work together to protect our mother land.
