A Day with a Craftsman
Last Friday, a craftsman was invited to our classroom to show us the procedure of making dough figurines, which left a deep impression in my mind and I’d like to share with you.
In the morning, the craftsman came to our classroom. We clap hands to welcome him and excitements were revealed on everyone’s faces. The craftsman opened the box carried with him, showing us some wonderful dough figurine. He also made a dough for us, at the same time, he introduced the culture and history behind the dough figurine.
After lunch, it’s time to make dough figurines by ourselves. With the craftsman’s help, a wonderful horse dough figurine was finished by a girl.
Having listened to him carefully, I could create a pig dough figurine, too. Some students were sharing their view of the dough figurines.
At the end of the big day, we held our work and take a photo with the craftsman. A sense of being pleasant flooded every corner of my heart. As far as I am concerned, nothing will delight me so much as feeling the great Chinese culture.
