A report about room reservation
A room reservation is when a guest needs to live in one hotel for certain reasons, she knows that which day she will arrive at the hotel, in order to avoid there is no room left in the hotel, she has to order a room in advance. She can make room reservations by face to face, calling the hotel or sending e-mails in advance.
Room reservation usually includes the following situations, such as making the FIT reservation, making the group reservation, changing the reservation and canceling the reservation. Different situations have different procedures.
The procedure of making the room reservation (FIT and the group) usually includes the following parts in turns. They respectively are the receptionist’s greeting to the guest, getting the guest’s information ( name, telephone number, date of arrive and date of leave, requirements to the room), confirming the guest’s information, and expressing the wishes.
The procedure of changing the reservation usually has the following parts including the receptionist’s greeting to the guest, getting the guest’s information ( name, telephone number, the information of room that the guest order before, the guest’s requirement now), confirming the guest’s information, and expressing the wishes.
The procedure of canceling the reservation usually has the following parts including the receptionist’s greeting to the guest, getting the guest’s reservation information (name, telephone number, the room information of the room that the guest order before) ,confirming the cancellation and expressing the wishes( welcome they live in the hotel next time).
Sometimes, if there are no empty rooms left when the guest makes the reservation, the receptionist should be polite, she can recommend another hotel for the guest and welcome the guest live in the hotel next time. At the same time, it is also necessary for the receptionist to express her wishes to the guest because it can give a good impression to the guest.
