Introduction
Silverhalidesarewell-knownasphotosensitivematerialsandwidelyemployedassourcematerialsinphotographicfilms.Thephotographicprocessinsilverhalidescomprisesbasicallythefollowing:Absorptionofaphotonliberatesanelectronandapositivehole.Theelectronwillcombinewithamobileinterstitialsilverion,leadingtoseparationofasilveratom.Uponrepeatedabsorptionofphotons,ultimatelyaclusterofsilveratomscanbeformed.Thisistheso-calledlatent-imagespeck.Thecriticalsize,whichwasinvestigatedbyFayetetal.,1isfoursilveratomsforthedevelopment.Thismeansthatsilverhalidesareunstableunderirradiationoflight,leadingtothecolorchangeofsilverhalideaftertheexposuretosunlight.Fromthoseproperties,silverhalideshavenotbeensomuchsubjectedtostudiesonthephotolysisofwatersuchasTiO22andCdS.3
