过去进行时态
一. 结构：
主 + was/were + V ing.
1.肯定句：
Li Lei was watching TV at 8:00 last night.
昨晚8：00李雷正在看电视.
我离开时他们正在打扫教室.
They were cleaning the classroom when I left.
2.否定句：
主 + was/were + not + V ing.
Was Li Lei watching TV at 8:00 last night?
They were not cleaning the classroom when I left.
3.一般疑问句：
Was/Were + 主 + V ing?
Li Lei was not watching TV at 8:00 last night?
Were they cleaning the classroom when I left?
4.特殊疑问句：
特殊疑问词/短语+was/were +主+V ing?
What was Li Lei doing at 8:00 last night?
Who were cleaning the classroom when I left?
When was Li Lei watching TV?
What were they cleaning when I left?
二.用法
1.表示在过去某个时间点正在发生的动作.常与at ten last night,,(at)this time yesterday,at that time/moment,when l came in等连用.
2.表示在过去某段时间之内正在发生的动作.常与last night, this morning连用.
He wrote a letter this morning.
He was writing a letter this morning.
区别: 今天上午他写了一封信.
今天上午他一直写信.
