独立主格结构

独立主格结构是由一个相当于主语的名词或代词加上非谓语动词，形容词，副词，或介词短语构成的一种独立成分。该结构不是句子，也不是从句，所以它内部的动词不能考虑其时态，人称和数的变化，它与其主句之间既不能通过并列连词连接，也不能有从句引导词引导，独立主格结构的位置相当灵活，可置于主句前、末、或句中，常用逗号与其主句隔开。

一、非谓语动词独立主格结构

A. 不定式 结构

Such a knife to help you, you will come back soon. 有这样一把刀帮你，你会很快回来的。

B. –ing 形式

One day, the mermaids lay in the sea, their eyes looking at the beautiful flowers. 方式状语 一天， 美人鱼躺在海里，眼睛看着美丽的花。

Two ladies walking towards here, she hid herself into the sea. 原因状语

因为两个女子朝这里走过来，她把自己藏在海里。

Time permitting, (条件状语) I will love him forever. 如果时间允许的话，我会永远爱他。 No one noticing, (时间状语) she got to the prince’s ship. 在没有人注意的时候，她来到王子的船上

Many eyes watching her, (原因状语) she felt a bit nervous. 很多双眼睛看着她， 她觉得有点紧张。

She threw the knife into the sea, her head shaking. 伴随状语

她摇着头，把刀扔进了海里

There being a ship, (原因状语) he got on it. 因为有一艘船，他上了船

It being warm, all the flower bloomed. 因为天气暖和，所有的花都开了。

逻辑主语+ being + 其他是独立主格结构中 “逻辑主语+动词ing形式”的一种。在这种结构中，being往往可以被省去，这种省去being的结构，称为无动词独立主格结构。

注意：独立主格结构中的being在下列两种情况一般不能省略，二是在逻辑主语是代词的情况下。

There were very pretty, the youngest a mermaid of 20. 名词词组

她们都很漂亮，最小的一个美人鱼20岁。

She turned to the prince, her eyes sad 形容词

她转向王子，眼睛很哀伤。

She stood there, knife in hand. 她站在那里，刀在手中。

逻辑主语+介词短语 如果名词用单数，可以不用冠词，同时介词短语里的限定词也可省略。

C. –ed 形式

Her happiness greatly changed, she still could say nothing. 让步状语

即使她的幸福要变了， 她还是什么都不能说。

Love disappeared, (原因状语) the Little Mermaid would become bubbles. 爱消失了，小美人鱼就要变成泡沫了。

二、with/without 引导的独立主格结构：with/without+宾语+宾补（介词短语，分词等），可

以构成独立主格结构。

The prince came to life, with thankfulness in his eyes. 王子醒了过来，眼睛里带着谢意。

The Little Mermaid answered, without anyone understanding her. 小美人鱼回答着，没有人理解她。

In the deep sea, there lived many mermaids. They had human faces, bodies and fish’s tails. They were very beautiful, the youngest a mermaid of 20.
